About Brookfield
Officially incorporated in 1718, Brookfield was initially settled back in 1660 as part of the Quaboag Plantation. The town (and general area) played a part in King Philip’s War as the town was ambushed and the bulk of the town was destroyed. Additionally, during the Revolutionary War, General Henry Knox passed through Brookfield with a cannon that was used to end the Siege of Boston. Today, a marker on Route 9 commemorates the route. Also, the George Washington Memorial Highway commemorates his tour through New England, including Brookfield.

Annual water testing conducted by a trusted and knowledgeable water technician is necessary for homeowners that rely on well water. First, routine well water inspections identify underlying water contamination issues that could lead to adverse health effects. Although, all water contains some impurities, there are many external factors that may possibly contaminate your water while it moves through your system. Fortunately, our expert water technicians know the risks and common homeowner concerns. For example, our water testing identifies for the most common issues with well water, such as:
- Iron
- Hard Water
- Soft Water
- Low or High pH Balance
- Arsenic
- Manganese
- Uranium
- Odor
- Sodium
- Chlorides
Proper well maintenance starts with knowing the location of your well, as well as providing easy access to your well. But, things like overgrown gardens or grass frequently covers many wells. Or, homeowners simply lose sight of their well location. As a result, our team of knowledgeable water technicians possess the tools and ability to find your well location. From metal detectors to other specialized equipment, our team knows how to bring your wellhead above grade, and make sure everything works properly. Ultimately, working with the Aqua Pump Company means you’ll be prepared for the situation where you need to repair or replace a well pump.
Homeowners know that things like water leaks happen. As a result, our knowledgeable water technicians offer leak detection services that help stop water leaks. Plus, leak detection is important because water leaks lead to property damage. And property damage can lead to clean up costs. Aqua Pump Company helps reduce the inconvenience of property clean up by offering our leak detection services. For example, our knowledgeable team utilizes sophisticated technology to spot water leaks underground or even inside your walls and address the underlying issue before the leak creates more of a mess.
Well sanitization helps ensure your clean water runs through home. As hard water remains pretty common in Western Mass, homeowners should know that water conditioners and sanitizers help remedy hard water. For example, natural minerals like iron, manganese or issues with the pH balance generally cause hard water and occur naturally throughout the environment. As a result, we recommend Evolve Series water conditioners because these products come equipped with an integrated chlorine generator that produces a small amount of chlorine to sanitize the media bed with each regeneration. Ultimately, the chlorine effectively kills iron and sulfur bacteria, which is the same bacteria that produces unwanted tastes and odors. Finally, both the Evolve Series EV1 and EV2 utilize exclusive Crystal-Right medias for optimum performance over a broad range of water quality issues.
